Traveling Studio

We no longer have a permanent studio space…

But I just cannot quit studio photography altogether! Therefore, we decided to build new packages to accommodate in-home photography.

Benefits of an in-home photo session

One of the BIGGEST issues I’ve noticed over my years in studio photography is that kids often get “stage fright” when they arrive to the shoot. Maybe it’s being in a new location, maybe it’s being put on the spot to smile and perform. Maybe a combination of all and just being overstimulated!

Let’s do your session from the comfort of your own home.

Your photos will be truly unique

I will bring a light setup and a backdrop which we will coordinate through our planning, but I also reccommend incorporating some “lifestyle” scenes from your home.

Including a special place such as your bed, couch, or family gathering place in your home will make your photos truly unique and sentimental compared to a generic backdrop setup in a studio.

Traveling Studio Package Options

Lifestyle Package - $150

This package option is meant to mirror our outdoor, base portrait session and pricing.

No props will be brought, we will instead do “Lifestyle” portraits and simple posing in your home. The photographer will bring lighting equipment to use if needed.

Session will be 30 mins long and 20+ edited images will be returned with print release.

Studio Setup - $200

If you would prefer more of a studio look and would like to use a backdrop, this option is for you!

We may still incorporate “Lifestyle” posing, but the photographer will also bring 1-2 backdrops with backdrop stand and lighting equipment for a studio setup in your own home!

Session will be 30 mins long and 20+ edited images will be returned with print release.

Add a 3rd backdrop or props to be brought for an additional $50

Portrait Packages that Include More

In-Home Newborn Session - $450

The first two above mentioned packages do not qualify to be done as a newborn session, as we offer so much more and bring more needed supplies for a dedicated newborn session. Newborn posing also takes more time to complete a session on average.

The experienced photographer will bring posing supplies and accommodations for use in posing baby, lighting equipment, and optional family sized backdrop, and 3 baby prop sets of your choosing.

(If you would like to forego any prop setups for your newborn session, and do only “Lifestyle” posing, you may subtract $100 from the session price.)

Session will be up to 3 hours long and 40+ in-depth edited images will be returned with print release.

In-Home Cake Smash Session - $350

We enjoy designing and providing all-inclusive cake smash portraits in the theme of your choosing!

Session includes one formal backdrop for photos before, and another decorated backdrop including cake, outfit and all decor in your theme of choice. We can even bring a miniature tub for a splash bath photo after the cake if you’d like!

Session will be up to 1 hour long and 40+ edited images will be returned with print release.

How much area is needed for the photographer to set up?

This depends on what type of shoot you are wanting.

For lifestyle only poses, keep your house as is. I may have to move a couch or things as I go.

If you are including a backdrop setup, I will need approximately a 10x10 area. The average living room will work well for this with couches moved to the sides.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to clean my house before the photographer arrives?

No!

As a mom of 4 kids and a big dog, I am used to a messy house! Animal hair or cookie crumbs do not phase me. I would only recommend clearing clutter in whichever areas you’d want to photograph for your lifestyle session.

Will my kids/animals be in the way?

Having little ones climbing on me and wanting to get my attention is part of my every day life as a mom! It is totally fine to have extra people around and watching (including grandma!) as long as it does not impede on the shots being taken. It may be a good idea to put away animals in another area to stay out of the way, or plan a quiet activity for small children in another room mostly to avoid knocking over lighting equipment etc. which could be a harm to them.
